New Lens
Oh, and I forgot to mention I bought the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens. I'm still trying to figure it out, though. I was playing around with it in the house for a few minutes last night. It was late when I got home, so I didn't have much time. I'm going to have to find a website or something that explains the lens more. I've never worked with a lens that has an apeture lock.
My next purchase may be a tripod "used" from craigslist.com. I've been emailing the person about the tripod. It's a model that is highly rated by customers on Amazon. A used one on there is listed for $135, but her's was never used and wants $100. The original retail price was $189.

Picture published
I just realized the school posted one of my pictures online. They don't have my name on it or anything, but i know it's mine. I was the only photographer at that event. I'm going to have to write up a contract for the next one to make sure that they post my name attached to any picture. I have the right to request that, shouldn't I?

Anyway, check it out! :) It brightened my day.

Future photo gigs... yay :)
I will be doing some photoshoots in April. I'm so excited :) I'll be sharing my experiences with you here.
I'm also still debating on what lens to get. I know I'll be trying to sell my sb-400 flash to upgrade to a sb-600. I'm thinking about saving the money and getting the 50mm f/1.8. It can do it all for a great price. Then I can save up to get a new Nikon 80-200 f/2.8. I was also looking at the Sigma 17-70 mm f/2.8 to use as my go-to lens. If I got the Sigma, I would sell my Nikon 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. It's supposed to be a really sharp lens and great for portraiture. I'd love to test run it.
